Special Thank You to the Winston Ag Department

Thank you to Mrs. Martin and students Drew Neth and Steven Muessig for the construction of our new mobile paper cart.

Changes in Afterschool Tutoring

Earlier this year, a survey was conducted regarding tutoring services provided by the Winston R-VI A+ students.  These surveys were tabulated and as a result some changes have been made to our tutoring program.  Effective immediately, we will no longer be having open tutoring.  Tutoring will be held with a specific focus and students will be identified and recommended for this program, based on multiple criterion.

The Radiant Redbirds Tutoring program, provided by A+ students will hold its first session from November 8th - December 21.  This first round of tutoring is scheduled to focused on Reading Instruction/Practice.  Students identified for this tutoring program will receive strategic Reading Interventions.  Students and parents were notified by their classroom teacher and individualized reading tutoring is taking place on the schedule provided to those students.

We will no longer be holding "open" tutoring for all students on Thursdays as we have in the past, we understand this may cause an inconvenience for some of you on occasion, but this more structured approach is better for all.
